Adena really needs to take a look at herself. When she says “I didn’t know you were one of them”, I cringed.

I’m not a huge fan of Adena, and this is one of the reasons why – this goes back to what Kat’s father said about her when they had dinner. She’s still immature – “I wasn’t expecting you to be one of them” and “it made me wonder if I was just an experiment for you”? Although she’s a powerful woman Adena is insecure and puts that on others – she literally falsely pinned her feelings on her own community and painted others in a bad light to save face and be petty to Kat. But even when she first met Kat, she accused Scarlet of being anti-feminist because of its content when in reality she was putting other women down for liking those things (similar to how she’s “fine” with bisexuals until she dates one and assumes she’s now only into women). She could have explained to Kat how she felt personally without trashing her identity and making up a whole lie – I do genuinely understand Adena’s feelings initially at seeing Kat with a man, but the fact that she made that lie up out of pettiness and tried to get Kat to not go to an event her with own community is so toxic to me and isn’t what someone who loves you would do. Not to mention the obvious biphobia – I know Adena said she was sorry for saying those things, but this was just too insincere to me. It felt like she kept trying to out the blame on Kat in some way, not fully taking responsibility for her being problematic and lying.

Adena knew what she was getting into with Kat. Her behaving like this is just another example of why they shouldn't be together. Their constant back and forth is tiring.

Adena’s response about questioning if she was just a phase for Kat would actually make sense if Aden’s was the only woman Kat had been with before being with a man again. But since Adena, Kat has been with other women. So why would Adena wonder if she was just a phase, when she wasn’t the only woman?

Bad writing! Kat has consistently talked about being w/ both men & women since season one. Adena knows this. Homophobic, transphobic, biphobic, etc. It’s ALL the same. There’s no coming back from this. They ruined her character. 😔
