Hello guys and gals, it's me Mutahar again! Creators are the lifeblood of websites such as this on the Internet. With a constant stream of creation funded by the ad revenue generate it creates a symbiotic relationship between the creator and platform. Twitch trying to hinder that shows they have no care for their platform with their new ad guidelines. Thanks for watching!

They walked it back saying shit like "We weren't clear with our wording". They knew exactly what they were doing and saying. They even had pictures and shit to go along with it. They are just backtracking to try and save that ridiculously awful decision.

You know they’re really killing off their sponsors when they don’t want it to take up more than 3% of the screen

Its amazing how Twitch can make consecutive shitty decisions and still be the top livestreaming platform

Thoroughly enjoying this massive competition between Blizzard, Twitch, and Reddit to completely destroy their reputations the fastest. My money's on Blizzard, but Twitch is coming up strong!

I hate that we have to live through this era of big tech companies.

Twitch has made watching new streamers such an unbearable experience. I usually get 10 ads in a row after every 20 minutes of watching a stream. It's really annoying.

“Twitch is killing their website.”

Every 60 seconds in Africa, a minute passes.

crazy how it would take YouTube like 2 changes to completely take over streaming services

If Youtube improves their streaming features they would gain much more revenue than banning slurs

Don't forget, Twitch still forces everyone to play 4mins of adds every hour while paying a pittance of the revenue. Seems pretty inconsistent to me.

Imagine the difference a company could make if its lead executives were not 2 generations older than their target demographic.

Man I really miss the old style of ads where ads are at the sides of the websites or just a tiny ad section below the video (and can be closed too) not covering the actual video itself.

I hate the new style of showing ads where they'll literally block the whole content page you're watching and that makes me hate the ads and I'll ignore more.

I wouldn't be sad if Twitch went away.

Twitch doesn't pay us creators directly outside of their own ads, which is actually not that great either. They actually take money from our subs and bits. It's absurd that they now deny us third party opportunities.

This is really just a way for Twitch to try and get a percentage of streamers sponsorship deals and force brands and companies to have to go through twitch if they want to do a bigger more involved sponsorship deal with big streamers

Twitch is so generous for helping its competitors😂

Being able to sponsor alcohol but not tobacco or weed shows how deep Beer company's hands are into advertising

Regarding advertisements: I am totally fine with advertisements as long as:
They don't get in my way
They don't cause a privacy issue
They aren't a roadblock or a distraction
Otherwise, uBlock comes on and no more advertisements. I kinda wish we went back to where sites would directly sell banner space on their webpages and host the ad media directly. No privacy issue, no nonsense and it's in context.

Twitch has been dying like this for a long time. We shouldn’t be surprised.

The fact Twitch has double standards and gave kimmmika only a 7 DAY ban for getting clapped on camera is wild
