Bonnie & Clyde’s top 5 list of dog toys that are Husky Proof, or at least Husky-resistant.

We are not sponsored by any of these products but do receive a commission from Amazon if you purchase any items from our links.

As you probably already know, Siberian Huskies can be very rough (bark sound) on their dog toys. I have learned this the hard way by purchasing many different stuffed animals, chew bones, balls, ropes, etc that I thought looked cute, or cool, or fun in the store only to quickly watch Bonnie & Clyde destroy them in minutes.

Items like these stuffed animals are a complete waste of money because the pups destroyed a couple of these within a day and left me with white stuffing everywhere. I’ll admit they had fun destroying them, but I want toys they can play with and enjoy for months or years. Not ones that will end up as trash in the landfill next week.

#1 - Zanies Crazy Eight Rope Pet Toy. I purchased this toy on Amazon for $14 back in December 2017 and the dogs love it. Multiple times a week I will be sitting at my desk and either Bonnie or Clyde will walk into the room with this in their mouth, dropping it at my feet. Their intention is obvious, “be a good human and come play with us!” In fact, as I was writing this script Clyde came walking into my office with it in his mouth. Luckily my iPhone was close by and I was able to capture this quick video for you guys.

The rope is very strong and has multiple ends on it which is perfect for a three-way tug of war between dog and human.

#2 - OurPets IQ Treat Ball. Clyde LOVES this toy. I ordered it on Amazon for $13 back in January 2017 and it has held up strong. For whatever reason Bonnie doesn’t seem to get the concept, she just follows behind Clyde and eats any food that comes out that he misses. Of course, maybe that makes her the smarter one? She makes Clyde do the work and she comes in for the quick bite. Other times, as you see here in the video, Bonnie could care less about the treats in this ball and will just ignore it completely.

#3 - KONG - Extreme Dog Toy. I ordered two of these from Amazon at a cost of about $14 each back in November 2016. They are still great and are still in near perfect condition, but I do not use them as much now. When I first adopted Bonnie & Clyde they couldn’t be trusted to roam my house while I was way (show carpet and box damage), so I would put treats in the KONG, then fill with peanut butter and freeze overnight. In the morning when they were put in their crates I would give them each one of these to keep them occupied for a while. Now that they are older and more adjusted to my house, I leave the crate doors open, so they can go to their crates when they want, and get up and walk around the house when they want. So this KONG is used less often. I most definitely will not give them this if they are NOT locked in their crates as I have found they will take the peanut butter filled KONG and run right to my bed. Not exactly a place I want sticky peanut butter all over everything.

#4 - Flossy Chews Cottonblend Color 5-Knot Rope Tug, this is another of Clyde’s favorites and it has held up to nearly daily abuse from him. Like most other items I ordered this on Amazon, for about $15 back in December of 2017.

#5 - Multipet Nuts for Knots Dog Toy 5". Amazon, $14, July 2017. Now we get into one of Bonnie’s favorite toys. I have purchased two of these, one blue and one purple. Bonnie likes the purple one the best, not sure why. I guess she likes the color. You do need to be a little careful with these because she will bite into it and shake her head from side-to-side -- if your leg is nearby it is like a bowling ball hitting your leg and does NOT feel good. I have had many bruises from this, but Bonnie loves it.

That ends the top 5 list, but before you leave and as a special thanks for staying a quick bonus item.

This isn’t a toy per se, but while searching through my Amazon purchase history, which is quite vast. Between my personal items, things for Bonnie & Clyde, and stuff for work I submit (on average) one Amazon order every 24 hours, or slightly over 1 order per day.

Anyways, when looking through my history I found the Furhaven Pet Dog Bed. In the past, the pups have destroyed many “cheep” dog beds, but this one has lasted much longer. Yes, they have dug into it a little and some of the padding has been slowly removed, but I can say overall this was $50 well spent as they have lasted over a year and a half so far, and I expect to get at least that much more life out of them.

Nukey loves ropes and Kongs. He destroys most of the stuffed toys, but he always keeps one as his “baby” He will bring his baby up to you to look at, and he’s all proud, but you can’t touch it.
