I suppose some folks will think this is an April Fool Joke but it really does work. It also works with recalcitrant cats and, I'm reliably informed, with rabbits. Although why anyone should want to mesmerise a rabbit is beyond me.

I was taught this technique by a lovely lady in Adelaide who come from a family of magicians . You would have seen her handy work every time the Christmas pageant is on she paints all the faces of the clowns

Another way is to tuck their head under one of the wings and slowly draw in the air a big circle while holding tightly. I'll let you know if the upside down trick works with a cat.

I wonder if it works on cockatiels. This would really help if it Could calm a night fright (basically a nightmare that starts a panic attack that they can hurt themselves in)
