Insightful families: Understanding the impact of parental alcohol use on children and others

Insightful families works with Haringey families impacted by family alcohol use, underpinned by work to improve the lives and wellbeing of children. The project is focused on strengthening resilience, family cohesion and wellbeing in the community and home.

The insightful families project held three free conferences during October and November 2019 for professionals working with children and families to help them to approach parental alcohol use.

This video catalysis the services provided by Insightful families, Adfam and the Anchor Approach but also the work conduced by Dr McGovern from the University of Newcastle on the dynamics between families and substance misuse as well as the DWP parental conflict programme.
