I'm fluent in 5 languages, French is my favorite. Yes, I was born & raised in the USA. LOL. When I lived in Europe, I went to Paris as often as I could. I went to Paris one last time before leaving Europe. I took my 2 older children with me. They were 10 yrs & 12 yrs.
I told my daughters that it was very important to be polite, I had taught them to say hello & goodbye when entering or leaving a business. I taught them a few very helpful phrases.
They used a bidet for the first time, it was so funny!
We walked through the Louvre, walked around the Tour d'Eiffel. eating cranberry gelato. When we walked on the city streets, always making sure to not step in dog poo. I had to divert their attention when a man would just turn away, unzip & pee. Bodyblocking!
This sort of music was everywhere in Paris.
My French language skills helped a lot! I asked around if there was a restaurant that was for every day people, not tourists. IT was down some steep stone steps, there was no electric lighting, it was all lit by candles. I raised my children to never be very picky about food, so, they were excited to try something new from the menu.
It was so memorable.
Loved this music, it takes me back as I'm missing my babies a lot, today.

My dad was an Airman stationed in France in the 50s, met my French mother there, & I was born at an Air Force base in Chateroux.He brought my mom, my half sister, & me here on September 11th, (who knew how notorious that date would become), 1961.I'm 63 now, wishing I could return to my homeland.Not likely it's going to happen, but music like this, & a good supply of wine, helps one dream.
