DIGITAL AFRIKA SHOW

Filmed in Byron Bay Australia April 2018, the show was part of Digita Afrika's 'Dark Matter' National Australian Tour.

Digging deep into the depths of African rhythms and melody , Digital Afrika is pushing forward the frontiers of dance floor orientated Afro House .
The production duo play their own tracks live and a finely selected assortment of global dance tracks sourced from New York to Lagos.
Digital Afrika , is the productive powers of Future Roots and Si Fixion. Incorporating live instrumentation , MPC's, African percussion and digital production ,Digital Afrika's sound is a dance floor stimulator for any corner of the globe . This Duo, based in Melbourne Australia, has seen a big year in 2018 with shows in Australia, Asia & Europe and scheduled releases for 2018.

with many guises Future Roots has at his command a broad palette of instrumentation including a large array of traditional percussion instruments and drum kits from around the world, and more contemporary ways of forging sound through the use of synthesisers, programming and DJing. Drawing on a rich life journey and an expansive tradition of musical performance including mentorships with percussion masters in Australia, Cuba, PNG, Senegal, India and performances with International music icons YOTHU YINDI, MULATU ASTAKE , HORACE ANDY , LUCIANO , BAMBINO and JBOOG, Zhonu’s professional work spans tours, concerts and recordings across the globe.And can often be seen gracing the decks at various late night clubs, underground events and festivals in Australia ,U.S., Asia and Europe .He also regularly performs with some of Australia top Afrobeat , Ethiojazz, Hiphop an African music groups , and his own FUTURE ROOTS percussion ensemble.

SI FIXION

Is a Melboune based music producer & DJ, percussionist and co founder of Afrik Futurism Club Nite. He specializes in playing Afrohouse, Future beats and Bassmusic. Drawing on influences of African Percussion and Electronic music, Si Fixion weaves these styles together with high calibre production. Si Fixion's shows are uptempo, rhythmic & dance floor friendly.

Playing Live MPC and Percussion, Si Fixion draws on his experience as a live musician to create a dynamic sound. Having garnered the attention of other producers and artists around the globe, Si Fixion continues to release music with an Album due for release soon.
His first project The Bird, popular for its live dynamic shows, is widely recognised as Australia's first live electronic act. Si Fixion gained a wealth of experience in The Bird touring Nationally, Europe and America and playing festivals such as Glastonbury and Womad. The Bird was affiliated with Warp Records and toured with many greats incl Mad Professor and Lee Scratch Perry.
