Well into my 60s now and been skinhead since 1969. I really liked the clobber but to be honest with you all, it was going to my first dance and hearing that magical music for the very first time. I stomped 'till my head spun and I snogged a skinhead girl who was mature and sophisticated to my callow youth, well, I was 14 and she was 17 lol but I was a 6ft 2" tall 14 😂 Watching this terrific video and that tune has made my day. I used to work at EMI back in '79 so I know that shop very well. I remember when it was in it's original location. I'm definitely going to look out for these meet ups.

The Original Skinheads! this subculture is probably the coolest subculture there is. Remember this guys these skinheads listen strictly to ska music and are no racists!! Awesome! Love from Holland!

Used to come out school aged 14 in early 80's and see 5 skinheads waiting at the gate every day. Top blokes they were. Loved the culture and clothes.

i remember when slade were skinheads-they came to basildon and played to an audience of 10-skins were quite intimidating back in the day-i liked some of the clothes-but nobs trying to be tough just by being in a gang was sad really-but fond memories of us biker boys playing fistycuffs wit the local skins and suedeheads-"happy days":-}

The neighborhood I moved to was all rockers, every local pub had a row of BSA, Triumphs etc outside. They treated me well so I converted :)

As a school boy when skinheads were in their prime, walking home from school was fun one end of the street, were skinheads at the other end hells Angel's and a few mods or Perry boys in between, I wish I knew about the music sense, looks cool and looking back the style .

Always felt the Skins were all about the music & fashion. Ethnic ska & reggae were fully embraced as the soundtrack of the time. Our teachers had a torrid time trying to stop kids wearing their DM Bombardiers to school. We could still look great in our Shermans, Sta Prest, Fred Perrys, Crombies & Harrington jackets.

I hope you guys keep on reuniting. Even though I was a mod in the early 1960's, then a rocker, then a greaser in the 1970's, I really liked this video. Those early days were what england was all about. Seems to me those are all gone now.
