WHO IS PASTOR BRAD?
Christian Metal Pastor. Heavy Metal Artist, YouTuber & Media Influencer.

PASTOR BRAD ON MUSIC:

A BRIEF BIO
Pastor Brad is exactly who he sounds like, a Pastor named Brad--who is also an 80s style, Christian metal recording artist. Growing up during the golden age of metal, Brad picked up the guitar in 1982. In 1987 he became a Christian, a decision that revolutionized his life & continues to do so to this day. In 2004 he launched Pastor Brad Rocks as a platform for sharing his music with the world. To date, Brad has released more than two hundred songs!

Brad has been blessed to work with several of his heroes! Richard Lynch & Dee Harrington (SAINT) appear on several songs on RESHREDDED (2006). Les Carlsen (Bloodgood) laid the lead vocal on HE LOVES ME (BREAK OUT, 2010) & Ken Tamplin contributed the lead vocal on TURN UP THE LIGHT (BREAK OUT 2010).

CHRISTIAN METAL PASTOR
Being both a Christian Pastor & a Hard Rock/Metal artist/music fan, Brad has a stong desire to serve the "heavy music" community. The Primary Aim of The Pastor Brad Rocks Channel is to Rock You (everyone) Up for Jesus with Classic Style Christian Hard Rock & Metal Music, & Practical Bible Teaching. Pastor Bob Beeman of Sanctuary International is another "Christian Metal Pastor" (who I respect deeply). My hope is that this channel, in concert with others like Pastor Bob's will serve the Christian Hard Music Community well and reach Hard Rock & Metal Spiritual Seekers--with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

HOW TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN:
#1 BELIEVE: Believe The Gospel, which is summarized beautifully in John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

#2 REPENT: Turn away from sin—a lifestyle of living for self and/or this world. Acknowledge Jesus as Lord and commit to living a life that honors Him. (Acts 3:19)

#3 FAITH: Place your full confidence in Jesus as your Savior—affirming that His sacrificial death on the cross paid your sin debt in full. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

#4 CONFESS: To confess means to "agree with God." Followers of Jesus confess (acknowledge) that: a. All have sinned (Romans 3:23) and need a Savior, and b. Jesus (the Son of God) is our Savior. (Matthew 10:32; Romans 10:9-10)

#5 BE BAPTIZED: In His Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), Jesus calls His disciples to be baptized. This beautiful act of obedience and public profession of faith is a powerful part of beginning your new life in Christ. (Acts 2:38, Romans 6:3-4)

#6 Plug into a fellowship of believers: Join a church family where you can worship, fellowship, serve, and grow in your knowledge of God’s Word and what it means to know and follow Christ. (Acts 2:42)

I’ve always been a Christian but never realized there were so many metal bands for Christ. This is my turning point as musician to rock for God instead of my own selfish needs.

Nina Llopis was in a band called The Lead. This was a fairly heavy band. She later had some solo work that was much less heavy, musically, but still really cool lyrically. My favorite album from her solo work is "I'm Your Child."

One of my favorite Rez-Band songs with Wendy Kaiser on lead-vocals, really showcasing her voice, is "Right On Time, " from their "Innocent Blood" album.

This brings back some memories for me. My oldest daughter was a huge fan of Superchick and Flyleaf. For me it's HB and The Letter Black, I love those bands!!! There is another band that i listened to a lot and it was Adelaine . Lead singer Stormy was great and they made 2 albums. It's too bad they had to stop playing because of financial hardships but I liked them too a lot!!! Thanks for another great video PB!!!

You should check out Leah McHenry out of Canada. While not officially a band, she has collaborated with many European artists to put out Celtic Christian Metal as solo projects.

YES, FLYLEAF! Great list! HB & The Letter Black went under my radar, sounding good! 👍🏻 I always pull for Rez Band and Superchic[k]! Honorable mentions: Lisa Faxom from Ransom, Barlow Girl, Adrienne Liesching (wife of Jeremy Camp) of The Benjamin Gate! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Great list brother. The first time I heard Lacy's full testimony I was blown away. I would encourage everyone to hear it.
Also to the list I would like to add Ransom. Lisa Faxon (not her real name from what I hear) was another great front woman.

Met Glen and Wendi Kaiser many years ago. Very sincere, compassionate and kind.
I also met Nancy Jo Mann and her passion and testimony was moving.

Rachel Rachel had a pretty good cover of Kansas' "Carry On My Wayward Son". Scarlet Red ("You Live Fast") was a pretty good metal band back in day, too. And I also liked The Benjamin Gate ("All Over Me") but they weren't metal. I think they were around the early 2000s. She went on to marry Jeremy Camp of worship music fame.

You can add Scarlet Red, Fireflight, Bloodlined Calligraphy, Seven Angels, Edge of Eternity, Ledger, Ilia...

The first that came to my mind was Ransom. They were part of that 2nd wave of Christian Metal/Rock that inspired me so much. My band came up right in between the 2nd and 3rd waves, so it was the late 80s/early 90s wave that really introduced me to the existence of this type of Christian Metal. I had only known of Stryper before discovering Ransom, Tourniquet, Deliverance, Bride, Bloodgood, and Whitecross. I remember my first trip to the Cornerstone Festival. My bassist and I were sent with press passes from a local radio station that played us a lot, so I got to meet more female led bands like Over the Rhine and Sixpence None the Richer. The trend of female led bands really hit in the mid through late 90s. I encountered a lot in the alt rock, punk, and metal scene in that period.

I feel like I don't see anyone talk about Gretchen any more. Mouth Full of Nails is great! Both of their albums really gel with the style and when they were released!

Excellent job, it keeps getting better and better. Thank you Pastor Brad. My first indoctrination to Christian rock bands back in the 80's was with Rez Band, Barnabas and Stryper, just to name a few but I love every band you mentioned. Although not in the heavy metal genre, a band I believe worth mentioning is "We The Kingdom" Another female fronted band I'm not to sure about is "FireFlight".
