HI, I already hv the 35mm 1.4 for street & video.
I'm considering getting the 16mm 1.4 for landscape and the 90mm f2 for action/sport.

Do you reckon this would the best lens combo for the said purposes?
Thank you.

I am still not sure about something, what about street photography at night? Which one between the old or new trio of 23, 35, 50(56) ?
The newer models are they any good at auto-focusing at night compared to the older one ?
Right now I am still using the kit 18-55 and at 18 at 2.8 it's barely ok, if I start zooming I have to bump the ISO a lot and the autofocus is often missing the spot.

From what aperture you find the 23mmF2 useful? Personally I'm disappointed wide open at f2.

A fabulous video about Fuji products, but one thing missing, actual photo examples you took to demonstrate your rhetoric! Part 3 perhaps??? :D

I just purchased the fuji XT 20 for travel. I have the 18-55 kit lens. If I was to pick up a prime lens for street photography, any recommendations for a second lens?

Any pancake lens you could recommend for the Fujifilm? Or is it stay away like the 27mm?

What about apples? Is Mackintosh apple a good lens?

Very nice video and very informative! Just have one question: how is your feeling of doing manual focus with Fujifilm 23 & 50mm f2 lenses? Thanks in advance.

I would like your advice about a possible lens purchase. I already own the following Fuji lenses: 10-24mm, 16mm, 23 f2, 35 f2, 18-55, and the 55-200. I will also be picking up a used 90mm in the next week. I have decided to skip buying the 56mm because I am looking at getting the 50mm or 60mm used. I have found that the prices for these two lenses are very close. I would use this lens primarily for street photography with the occasional portrait. The macro ability of the 60mm would be nice, but I would rarely use that feature. With this information, what lens (the 50 or the 60) would you recommend?Thank you for being a truth seeker and for being a valuable photography resource.

Excellent overview of Fujinon and vegetable options, Ken! Just my personal opinion, but you covered every criterion except perhaps product photography and related "sharpness". I do landscape and small product work, and can say unequivocally that the XF90 f/2 is among the absolute sharpest lens I have had the pleasure of using over the last 35 years. (And I come from a varied experience with Nikon, Pentax, Minolta, Olympus, and large format lenses from Nikon, Schneider, Rodenstock, and yes, Fujifilm!). The 23 and 35 f/2 lenses come close, but haven't had a need for the 50 f/2 yet. Also, the XF16-55 f/2.8 is is best zoom I've seen as well, but admittedly, I haven't tried the grapefruit or onion yet either! Thanks!

Ken, I have heard you mention that Fuji is revamping the 18mm f/2 in several of your videos. Are you getting this info from contacts at Fuji? Do you have any idea of the time frame? I really want a 28mm equivalent lens. I have come close to getting the current version. If Fuji is redoing it I will wait though.

Thanks I have watched a couple of your videos, and find the presentation suits me to a T. I have the 90mm F2 and the 50mm F2 love both of these lenses, as you say the quad linear motor in the 90mm is disconcerting to say the least when it clunks sliding about.

Just a thought ..have you ever used the old film 55mm and the 35mm...I have the 55mm and I love it...Had to do some surgery to make it work correctly...but it's very nice.

I really can't decide which of the f2 lenses to get for travel, I already have 16mm so I don't feel that the 23mm will add much except when I grab it alone without the whole bag, and I already have a 50mm m42 lens. So i feel that the 35mm would be my best option especially since I really miss the tight angle when I'm too shy to point the huge 16mm on someones face from a close distance. But I still can't rule out the 23mm cause when I saw some samples of both the 23 looked more natural than the 35 to me 🤷🏻‍♂️
