Mephisto Walz - Mephisto Waltz (1995)

That's right, you are not seeing double! The song and the band have the same title. From the album, Gothik: Music from the Dark Side, comes this exclusive track titled "Mephisto
Waltz." This is one of the best goth rock songs I have ever heard, it rates highly in my book with the works of Icon, The Wake, Switchblade Symphony, and Two Witches. A very dark melody, it is also quite beautiful and so stirring to the blood. There is a definite retro feel to some of the guitar phrases, unusual in most Gothic rock.
I don't know if you will like the video I have made for the song or not, I hope you do, but this song definitely gets 5 stars!

Mephisto Walz was formed in 1986 by Barry Galvin and John Schuman following their departure from the highly popular gothic rock band Christian Death. This beautiful vocal is by Christianna who joined the band in 1991 and is now currently singing with the Greek goth rock band Elysion.
