Knit Wits Pattern reviews M6755 and M6996 ep14-23

Greetings! Our challenge this week was to make something out of knit fabrics. Dory made a top and Dee made a cardigan/topper.

Dory used McCall's 6755 which she purchased from the Facebook page Destash patterns. Her fabric came from a FabricMart fashion bundle. It started out being a skirt, but she didn't cut all the pieces she needed. With no extra fabric left she turned it into a top. Instead of putting the button closures on it, she did a tie closure. By the way this McCall's pattern was a Fashion Star pattern. Have you ever seen the show? What did you think of it?

Dee used McCall's 6996 a TNT pattern for her for sure! Her fabric also came from a FabricMart fashion bundle. You can never go wrong purchasing one of those!

Good morning Ladies. You both are fun. Dory, I am also getting over a sinus infection, also thought it was a cold but it wouldn’t go away. Started on an antibiotic and now have a rash all over my back, neck and face. Dee, your voice and laugh are just fine. I miss Nate.

I love Great British Sewing Bee as well and have watched all series repeatedly and it inspired me to take up sewing again after many years. In Australia we can get it on Binge channel. Love your makes ladies.

I bought that pattern Dee after you made it last time. I made the version you are wearing today. I widened the sleeves as Ibthought they looked tight on the pattern sleeve. I cannot remember using binding at all on the neckline! I also serged so did not sew twice, as they instructed. I'm going to make another one in cream, they're so simple and easy to wear. I do miss pockets a bit but I don't think adding pockets would be possible. Well done sewing when you're feeling sick Dory. I hope you feel better soon.

I just loved Dory's top, partly because it's so pretty and partly because it always feels so good to be able to save a project. I also loved Dee's cardigan/jacket; I suspect that will end up being a workhorse piece of your wardrobe that gets tons of wear. Hope you feel better Dory; if your sinuses continue to give you problems, I find for me that a neti pot really helps.
