New fish species discovered in Japan

While "fish" doesn't have any real taxonomic meaning, sea squirts are not what would commonly be called a fish. Fish are vertebrates, sea squirts are not. Both are aquatic chordates, but sea squirrs are more "primitive" in the sense that they lack several characteristics common to all vertebrates.

First off it's not a fish, it's a sponge. Maybe you should research what it is before calling it a fish. Just because it lives in water doesn't make it a fish.
