Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean, NCL, and Carnival are allowing passengers to cancel and reschedule cruises for January 2022. You receive your refund as a future cruise credit or you can reschedule your cruise right now to a later date.

Thank you for your research. The central question that needs to be answered is whether the cruise lines will continue to operate trips that they have scheduled and sold, or if they will cancel them. Throughout this crisis, the cruise lines have been indecisive, inconsistent, and disorganized. They have shown a complete lack of transparency, leaving their customers and their own agents to speculate about cancellations, often wildly. Decisiveness and candor are needed here.

Thanks for the updated info, Allison. My husband and I were booked on the Enchanted Princess for a Caribbean cruise leaving Jan. 9th. With wearing masks all the time indoors and possible Port cancellations, I was iffy about going. I think I will take the Princess FCC. Again, thanks for keeping all of us up to date. We are working with a travel agent and she makes me feel guilty for changing anything... I think after 2022, since I have another cruise booked with her in October, I am going to part ways...That's my New Year's Resolution.

I was originally regretful of booking RC thru a travel agent, for Jan 15. This weekend after all the news, I felt the need to cancel, and I can get a $ refund not a future cruise credit. Just $100 cancellation fee. So there - apparently that is a huge a plus to using a travel agent.
I hardly want a future cruise credit that has to be used by May 31.
That what they call a refund? From what I can glean, there are no refunds. I would just as soon keep my $6k in my pocket as let them hang onto it.
That is not what I can call a "cancellation policy"

Great advice. If you focus on the negative that's what you'll get. If you focus on the positive you might be pleasantly surprised.

Thank you Allison. My travel counselor told me to wait to see if there was any changes and then cancel if there was in week. Great advice from a experienced travel counselor. It will save us some money. Happy New Year Allison.

Thank you for the professional way that you relay information. Hopefully Majestic is allowed to dock in Cabo today, and we will have more confidence we can dock and get maximum joy on our first cruise together next week. We are almost packed! Thanks so much for the info. We were on Carnival Horizon in 10/21 & it was wonderful…except for folks who chose to disregard masking guidelines. We are looking forward to Enchanted Princess 2/28/22 & hoping it will be a go as we are meeting up with friends…don’t care about ports…just get away & eat too much. Be well.

We have a cruise January 2nd and have a Princess cruise to Hawaii and it has been very nerve racking not having any customer service available. NCL has been great and no waiting. I have been a loyal Princess cruiser but I am rethinking because of reaching Platinum and they changed their offer!!!

Happy New Year all around, we are on Sky Jan 22, we were thinking abt now it's a "lock", just too many moving parts just to get on the ship at this testing issues, airline issues, "normal" winter weather issues, then port of call issues, etc, etc were on Enchanted back in Nov and had a great time...will take the FCC (again) and see what happens. Have a East Med cruise on the books for giving that one a 50/50 at this

Allison, would you believe, our travel agent said she knows NOTHING about Princess' cancellation policy through the end of January. Said she never receive anything in writing and won't believe it until she is informed....this was processed so fast that they should have updated their website along with the message on the phone... Actually the message changed a bit today....I believe
