What model and pickup use the first bass? sound amazing, and the Q\Strip is amazing too

Still a bit pricey but you won't need anything else for various bass shapes.

You know, I think this unit will be a bit like the bass driver--it sounds pretty good by itself. But as soon as it is in a band setting, you're buried in the mix, you sound muddy, and you lose all your dynamics. I used a bass driver for a time, but I never could get a sound that was good for a band situation. It seemed to just introduce mud and I ended up running it in the off position as just a simple DI most of the time. I wish a company would introduce a CLEAR sounding bass DI/preamp, rather than trying to simulate a "tube sound, " which inevitably mushies things up and kills the dynamics and transients.
