Показать описание
South Africa's schools are opening on schedule and students are excited to be back in the classroom after two years of intermittent lockdowns and disruptions.
"Coming back to school ... is important because we need to get a better education," says Nokukhanya, 12. "And we need to have a better future."
"I feel safe coming to school because we have our masks, we sanitize and we have our social distancing," says 11-year-old Vuyelwa.
"When I was at home, I missed my classmates and my teachers," says 10-year-old Solomon.
"And now my future is back, and I'm happy, I'm so happy," says Lindokuhle, 11.
UNICEF works with school systems around the world to implement safety protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Every child has the right to learn.
