The London mayor ought to be removed. It is laughable that he believes in freedom of speech when it suits him and his kind!

Any protesters should be ignored for their pseudo protestations are bogus and banal for there is no basis upon which they are founded.

The London mayor and those alleging protests are a disgrace and a total embarrassment to our county and its reputation.
Who do they think they for they don't speak for Londoners let alone the nation as a whole. They are but a puerile minority whose mindset is up the left and which is based on the quite ridiculous hysteria spewed out by the media. I doubt if any of those threatening this pseudo outrage have ever listened to real and actual reports and White House press briefings or the man himself and base their hate simply on uninformed second- hand commentary. I doubt if they could support their silly views with one significant fact concerning what they think Mr Trump has said or done personally that justifies such vileness.

Strange that Mr Trump was invited to France without issue. Look at the welcome he received in Poland. No problems in Italy, Israel or Saudi Arabia were there? No problems either in Germany as I recall.

The true people of this country who are wiser and know better should get their voices heard above the boorish plebs and the ignorant dross and the bigots and hypocrites within parliament and of the untrusted discredited media whether it be fake news or the BBC et al.

Perhaps we should put tolerance and free speech to the test by voicing the incompetence of the mayoral incumbent and expressing sentiments about that heinous thing named Islam. Remember everyone the London mayor can't encourage free speech just to suit his inept or corrupt mindset. If persons are now arrested for asserting their right to free speech, let the police note that the London mayor said it first that free speech reigns and thus that it can not be a crime whether someone in their view considers that there may be an element of hate in it. WHY?
BECAUSE that which the London mayor has expressed directly, indirectly or inadvertently, concerning the visit of Mr Trump, is nothing but hate, threatening, and a shining example of intolerance - pure and simple. Why is this tolerated from this person. Why has he not been asked to resign for he must no longer have any credibility or professional integrity, assuming he had any such thing in the first place. I find his comments offensive, and if enough find it so then perhaps the police will have to take the London mayor to task. Others in government have been asked to resign for less. Perhaps the London mayor believes he owns London and ought to decide who should be allowed to visit.

Mr Trump is welcome in my country, unlike a great number of undesirables I could think of.

Liberal and Freedom of speech do not go hand in hand these days. If you censor or have Laws that nebulously define what cannot be said, then it is by definition NOT Freedom of Speech. There is no but or conditions after "You have Freedom of Speech". The statement may have been PC but it was also dishonest in that it was using very flexible ways to define words.

The thing I do not like is words that needs supporting definitions being thrown around, as more than often it is done so the listen applies their own list to it and not the speakers. Evil, Good, for example, as such words that require definitions, a list of things to give it true meaning. Example: a speaker can call someone Good or Evil and leave the listener to apply thier own list of assuptions as to why this must be true, even though in theory every listeners list may vary and be even diametrical opposed to the list of others.

The problem we have these days is words with clear definitions being used in ways those word were never meant to mean. Clear communication and debate has always been one of the hallmarks of a well functioning society, and anything that muddies the water, forbids debate of certain topics that have to be discussed or distorts political debate in one direction, can only do damage and nurture distrust to the detriment of us all.

Trump will see/hear a lot of people voicing their opposition to his trip. That is of course if he is not having to deal with outcomes of any investigations by July which may prevent him coming to U.K. (probably the best outcome)!
