Description: Although monitoring and surveillance are still the most common use cases for drones, their use, especially in the industrial sector, is evolving (telemetry, data collection, etc.). However, the growth in the number and techniques of cyber attacks on these devices can turn their use into a real nightmare with harmful impacts. We will share our vision of civilian uav/drone cybersecurity and its various challenges. We will discuss how drones can be affected by vulnerabilities, but how they can also be used to empower hackers.

Speaker Bio: Helmi RAIS is the Cybersecurity Practice Leader at Expleo Group and the President of ISC2 Paris Chapter. With over 20 years of industry expertise Helmi specializes in data protection, risk assessment and building cyber-defence strategies. He is an experienced speaker & panelist with more than 50 events worldwide. He has published several papers on Vehicle Security, Post Quantum Cryptography, Blockchain Security, AI Security, Threat Intelligence, etc.
