370,000 Reasons to Spay and Neuter | An Animated Short

Should you really spay or neuter your cat or dog? What difference does one animal make? A lot, actually: One female cat and her offspring can pave the way to the births of 370,000 cats in just seven years! Spaying and neutering is the single best thing that you can do to help solve the dog and cat overpopulation crisis.

Spaying and neutering procedures are routine and affordable and can prevent hundreds of thousands of animals from being born into a world that tragically has no place for them. "Fixed" animals also live longer and are far less likely to develop (or are immune from) certain types of cancer and other diseases, and neutered males are less likely to run off.

Communities spend millions of dollars coping with the dog and cat overpopulation crisis. The one-time cost of spaying or neutering is far lower than the expense involved in rounding up strays, feeding and housing abandoned animals, and euthanizing those for whom homes can't be found.

Microchiping is also cheap and significantly increases the chance of you finding your pet if it gets lost it could also save them from being euthonised . The process is also almost painless, so remember to get your pet chipped, it could save their life.

If your dog is a large dog wait until they’re 2. It has to do with their hormones so please look into it.

I agree with this. The only reason not to do this is if your pet has a health condition that makes it dangerous or something

Lots of homes dont allow pets. I've gotten over 300 searches and then press for my dogs, it goes to 3-8

My parents had my dog spayed cause it made her less aggressive. She was also having her period all over, which was pretty gross.

And when the entire fertile population is gone and they can't reproduce so their natural life cycle stops and eventually goes extinct like the kaui oo bird, sort of "if all of one sex disappear" apocalypse for dogs, also in the wild wolves don't need being neutered and reproduction is a natural part of a life cycle, how would a dog feel having it's bloodline die out

umm my dog has that soooo my dog wont have pupies. its sad but at lest she gets to live longer
