Spawn rate of all mutants is way to high! Would refund!

Mutant spawn rate needs to be decreased drastically, they spawn way way to often, doesn’t make them feel special or like mutants. The chicken raptor one is the worst offender. Iv had to remove the mod from my world because im sick and tired of trying to build something and half of it burns down 3 seconds after I just finished putting out the fire from the last one. Definitely needs some tweaks and fixes but other than the top frequent spawn rate, good mod.

There is an invisible unnamed item in the “items” creative tab, plus perhaps lower the spawns of you haven’t done so already.

This is a really cool addon. I had lots of fun with this. However, the Mutants spawn WAY too often, especially the Chicken and the Zombies. I suggest you change the spawnrates from 20% to around 3 to 5% so players won't get jumped by mutants .2 nanoseconds after loading into a world.

I see a lot of comments about spawn rates and I agree but I think there’s other issues that I think would probably make the spawn rates not feel as bad

-Zombie and Creeper AI is a bit weird compared to wolf chicken and skeleton where they don’t really chase as hard so if they spawn near your base chances are the creeper either blows your stuff up or the zombie just starts damaging you while you’re in your base.

-none of the mutants burn during daytime and ignore torches and spawn in those places anyway. I understand if the chicken and creeper don’t but the zombie and skeleton should still act like their non mutated versions and burn so you can at least not have to deal with as many mutants during the day

-If you aggro the zombie before going into your base he can hit you through walls with his spike attack. I think it’s valid the first time but him being able to do so like 4 or 5 times in a row is extremely annoying and unnecessary (it’s especially egregious when you have an underground base that’s 30ish blocks down and he can still hit you)

Generally this add on is incredible and while I still believe the spawn rates should go down a fair amount (especially since in the book it says the zombie is rarer than the others and it’s by far the most common in my world) but I would also counteract that nerf by buffing health and damage so that when you do encounter it’s something you truly consider if you wanna take on even mid to early-late game.

Great job tho guys I was only looking for an add on to make the early game slower and make the survival feel like survival again and not just a laundry list of things that I can do in one life. So thank yall for that. I wish yall good luck on future endeavors

I love the addon but….Lower spawn rates, stop them from spawning in bases. I don’t know how they spawn I fully light up enclosed room.
Fix spawn rates and where they spawn, it’s like light level is off

I love addon it’s fun
I don’t want to remove it from my world

please fix the sound bugs with the mutant zombie, the spawn rate of the mutant chickens (I can't farm feathers) and fix zombies able to detect thru walls, hit thru walls, and see thru walls please

Fix the spawn rates, i haven’t bought it yet but theres no change log for it still. I dont know how it takes 4 months to fix this addon. Literally disable natural spawns and make a way to mutate certain mobs through a item instead.

Is there anywhere that shows update record's to keep track of? Friend uses this mod in his realms and it's become buggy when around certain mobs. Apologies if things are already getting worked on - just no idea right now. 😅

Can you put a option to decrease spawn rates and a option to remove some of the mobs like the chicken because it just spawns in the day time outta nowhere.. also they spawn no matter where torches are. I’m trying build something and thought having a lot torches around my space would help like regular mobs but they spawn next to me regardless and you can’t even build nothing. Is there a way you can tweak that so they react the same way as regular mobs when it comes to torches

Perhaps add an option to not spawn in with the book every single time you die? Also please add the option to disable the mutants from naturally spawning.

I think mutant mobs for all the base mobs would be a good idea along with a craftable mutant formula to throw at base mobs to mutate them as well as different types of mutant strains for you to take yourself as like potions but with abilities like added strength and with being able to throw blocks for attacks, mutant spawn rate is very high especially with the chickens and I’m not sure if anyone else has had this happen but whenever I come across a mutant zombie or spawn one in, it doesn’t move, it can spin round but it doesn’t attack or walk around it just stands there

Great mod one of may favorites but had to take it off a while ago since the spawn rates is way to high also i think there should be maybe a couple more mutants 6/10 :)

Hey wanted to leave an honest review after purchasing and playing on marketplace! First off i love the idea of mutant creatures because i used to run the OG mutant mobs on java and having tougher creatures is always a bonus.

That being said i did enjoy finding the mutants and killing them learning what the new items do etc. but i was finished with the addon faster than i realized. I wish i had a chance to appreciate the mobs more

That being said i believe good changes would be to decrease spawn rates and not have certain mobs spawning at any/every light level. I know its more difficult than it sounds but per the others comments, mutants spawning in the crib and 3 at a time at night is wicked. i also think that increasing the health of some mobs would extend play period. I really liked the specials and normal attacks from the added creatures but would like to see this better implemented into modded or vanilla gameplay.

Overall i love the idea and how much work has gone into the addon already, and i cant wait to see the future updates coming! Thank you for staying involved with the community and i hope my comment reaches the devs!

If the mutant mobs become somewhat "rare" spawns it would be a perfect 10/10. When they spawn literally everywhere, it takes away the wonder or excitement of encountering them. They just blow up and burn everything. Maybe try adding an option to lower the % of the spawn rate 'cause this is actually a really cool add-on. And make the light levels keep them from spawning like regular hostile mobs.
