My earliest fishing memory is from when I was like 6 to 8. I caught a couple good sized cat fish with my dad. I wanted to catch and release but my dad had other plans. It was at the time a hard lesson when he butchered and cleaned the up and we made a cat fish stew. He passed when I was 11. It wasn't till years later in my late teens to early 20s I realized what a valuable lesson he gave me.

That looks SO damn delicious. For the unexperienced, you haven't lived until you pan fry 1-hour line caught trout in butter, served with eggs over-medium, for breakfast. Heaven.

Absolutely love trout fishing. I look forward to trout season every year after the doldrums of winter. I caught some real beauties this year and there is nothing like playing out 2 pounders. The jumping out of the water brings a smile to the face.
