Sound to Remove Water From Earbuds/AirPods | ACTUALLY WORKS | 10 Hour Version

By popular demand I have created a 10 hour version of my water removal synth track. Now you can leave it playing in your water logged headphones overnight to give them the best chance of recovering.

We've all experienced accidentally letting our earbuds get flooded by water. I designed this synth track specifically for helping remove water from earbud, headphone, AirPod, and EarPod speakers. It uses very deep tones mixed with medium and high pitches to create vibrations in the earbuds that will help expel water. Make sure to turn the volume up high (3/4ish to max) so that it is able to give the best chance of restoring your headphone speakers. I had to upload it a little quieter so the bass tones would not max out. I don't recommend listening to it as it plays, it might give you a headache. Don't worry, you should be hearing distortion and clicks from the speakers, especially during very deep bass sections.

I actually tested this sound on real headphones. They were Apple EarPods. I submerged one headphone in water and moved it around to get it as flooded as possible. I then dried the earbud off and started playing this sound through it. At first, it produced almost no sound. Only faint bass was audible. As I let the sound play though, they progressively got better. The bass first came back and then was followed by higher pitched tones. After about 7 minutes the EarPod was back to original working order. I gave it light taps and shakes as well occasionally.

The sooner you use this sound on water logged headphones the better. You want to get as much water off the actual speakers before it dries and possibly causes damage. It might not work in every situation but it's worth a try, maybe it will save you from having to buy new headphones! I hope it helps!

Definitely give this a go! My AirPods had been in a bag with silica gel for about a month but one of them was still distorting badly. A few loops of this for a couple of hours and the distortion has gone away. Thanks for making this!

This actually worked so well!! I was really skeptical because the comments seemed too good to be true. I had worn my galaxy buds in the shower and after leaving them out to dry, my left earbud still sounded quiet and tinny. 3 days later, the volume was a little louder but the quality was very tinny and the mic was foggy. I put this on for about 2 ½ hours and it was COMPLETELY fixed. I reallllyyyy lost all hope but definitely saving this video for next time!!
