I more prefer the old car, It has classic styling like and wide seat, I wish they can keep at least few old car in the service like trolly car in SF.

Saw one of these trains being tested at San Bruno. They didn't screech at all and they seemed to glide down the track.
WHY ARE THEY NOT PUTTING OUT THE FLEET OF THE FUTURE YET?! BART HAS THE OLDEST SUBWAY TRAINS IN THE NATION RIGHT NOW AND ALL THEY DO IS SCREECH!

they said that the old fleet is going to be used for spare parts or in the future putting them in a BART museum in san francisco. the info came from the one of the employees when I was in pleasant hill.

I think Rohr did a wonderful job there in Chula Vista, CA on the current, tired, but rugged fleet! The fleet needs to be replaced but hats off to those men and women at Rohr who built BART's original fleet in the very early 1970s.

I can't wait for the new cars. My main concern is the noise level. Will the new cars solve this. I have heard others say it is the tracks. Please clarify. Thanks. So appreciate that the bay area has public transit.

new trains are welcome, however i like the old seats better and in the back of train the wall intrudes on personal space other than that bring them on, pls open warms springs and milpitas soon
