California bluegrass band AJ Lee & Blue Summit stopped by the AEA Ribbon Mics suite at Folk Alliance International 2024 in Kansas City for a positively devastating No Depression Session featuring two songs from their forthcoming album, City of Glass, along with Lee’s solo performance of “Someone Please.”

First up, Sullivan Tuttle showcases his songwriting and resonant baritone voice on “Seaside Town.” Second, Scott Gates channels Roy Rogers on his original composition “Bakersfield Clay.” Lee closes out the session in style with a solo performance of her song “Someone Please.”

I have been watching the Tuttle kids for years along with AJ . They are all incredible musicians and surround themselves with likewise. They definitely have their own flavor and it is very, very contagious. I’m an old bluegrasser / Americana flatpicker /singer / songwriter.

What a fantastic group of very, very talented musicians. Heard much of their uptempo stuff but this video shows a subtle take on great tunes. (Just noticed dittos rhymes with Tuttle !!). This band gives so much ! From the UK, with much appreciation for your fine music. 🤓
