Santa Claus the Movie! Classic in my opinion. Very well done. However, no one ever talks about it. It never comes up in the Christmas movie conversation. That needs to change.

This is the original Santa Claus movie but they don’t even play it on tv
This is by far the best one and needs to be revived.

The look they gave David Huddleston in this movie...the guy IS Santa. Absolutely perfect.

Odd I never see this on holiday movie marathon rotations on TV.
Gotta love John Lithgow chewing up the scenery!

It's like everyone watched this, then grew up to be the protagonist. Now they won't show their kids. Absolutely love this!

This movie was huge at the theaters when it vame out
McDonalds had a marketing partnership, had plush reindeer for sale and the happy meal boxes and toys were were inspired by this film.
I'm 45, watching this movie now it's bittersweet. Reminds me of the innocence I had as a child, something that is lacking in today's world.

This movie came out in 85, if i remember correctly. I was 7 years old, and i remember how big this movie was from the ads, even McDonald's promoted it. It was a big deal for 80s kids.

I was born in 1986. I remember, as a kid, my mom and I adored this movie and would watch it on TV every December. Last time I saw it, I was probably 11 or 12, and like other people mention here, for the longest time I wasnt sure if it was a fever dream, or like, why don't people mention it when they talk about Christmas classics? It's all about Home Alone, Elf and such. I feel that this movie should be in that bunch of classics. So watching this trailer, these scenes, for the first time in maybe 26 or 27 years, is crazy to me. So familiar, so far away, so close. I must find a way to watch it this Christmas

I almost thought I'd imagined this movie. I saw about 8 minutes of it running on regular TV just before midnight on Christmas Eve at my grandparents' when I was 10, right before I fell asleep. It seemed weird and creepy at the time, without the full context.

Santa Claus: The Movie, a cheesy, corny film from the eighties with so much heart to spare!

This movie got super buried. It came out the same year as Christmas vacation. I saw both in the theatre. No one ever know wtf I'm talking about when I bring this up.
My 17 year old and I are watching it now and it's weird. 🤣
