The fact that they went so far into the lore is crazy. In the anime we know that the only person who beat takumi is his father Bunta, and we can se this in the comercial. Also they recreated takumis footwork on the pedals one to one. Best manufacturer.🤩

1 the new car doesnt beat trueno bec its a "better" car respecting the culture and legend what trueno made. The car beats the trueno bec takumis dad was driving it.

Ik initial d was written in the 90s, but after the stages I truly believe it took place in the early-mid 2010s due to the appearance of the gt86 at the end of 5th stage. Mf ghost 202X makes me think it's in the mid late 2020s. This commercial is badass and it was a pleasure to drive a gr86 myself, such a fun car
