Dear departed Dave Hunt. I wept listening to you, I wept at my wondering down every wide path available so as not to walk the narrow one. It has taken me 40 years to become a bible believing Christian. You have been very instrumental over the years in leading me to the truth and I have studied my bible diligently. I marvel at my hard headedness. And always I wanted the truth, but I resisted with all my might without knowing it. I simply couldn't believe that humanity was wicked. But now I understand the wicked heart and I weep.

I remember back in 1985 how I just HATED 'Seduction Of Christianity'. I was a huge fan of Robert Schuller and many of the names Hunt named. Now that book has become required reading and I'd like to find a new copy.

The one comment I will make is that I have experienced in my own family the words of Jesus about bringing division being used by a cult to justify the complete control that was wielded against family members. And the one person buying into the cult where she had to "cut and divide" from the family according to the self proclaimed prophet, has done great damage. The words of scripture and Jesus MUST always be read in context. It is the "seduction" of cults and strange doctrines that take things out of context and as the scriptures aptly point out "the word of truth is maligned". So if anyone is listening to the Dave Hunt, a true Barean, he was a true examiner of all things scriptural. Some of his viewpoints evolved into a deeper understanding of church history where his voice and viewpoints became even clearer. I have great respect for the man.

From everything I can see around me both within the church and without we appear to be in the final apostasy and the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ. the reason he got so much push back is due in part to the dumbing down of true salvation. Reducing it to a contrived And biblically unsound prayer or the "only believe" notion. Dave did the service that was much like Luther in subtracting the add ons and misinterpretations which cause the apostasy.
