Ireland’s Climate and Energy Policy within a European Context – A Critical Perspective

A recent CAN report ranked Ireland 27th out of 28 EU Member States for its climate performance. Caroline Westblom takes a critical look at Ireland’s role in contributing to the state of play of the EU’s current policies. She argues that the EU's climate and energy legislation for 2030 is not ambitious enough to put Europe on a path to deliver on the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
