Boss... one more thing. What is the story with its new e-XDi engine? The Singapore Ssangyong website has a PDF that says it's a German engine. But that's just about as much that I could find out about it.

Ssangyong was famous for using Mercedes Benz diesel engines before, like in the Musso and Rexton. So... is this new e-XDi engine a Benz one too?

Great video. What are the price ranges for the 2WD and 4WD? It does have a lot going for it, like an engine that was originally based on a Mercedes engine, disc brakes on all 4 wheels, coil springs instead of leaf springs on the rear, and the lowest road tax for any pick-up in Malaysia. Brand awareness is pretty poor in Malaysia. Then again, I suppose your company has very little in the budget for advertising. Now that Mahindra has taken over Ssangyong, I hope there will be more exposure.

Hey, alexlovesmac... at 4:44 you mention that this truck is FWD (which right away sounds rather odd for a truck like this). But when you take a peek under the car from the rear, we can all clearly see the RWD differential. LOL.

I know Ssangyong makes 2WD and 4WD versions of this car. But no thanks to the stupid excuse for a website, no other info is available from Ssangyong Malaysia. I think they just want to sell Citroens...

That car has not adopted a Mercedes-Benz engine and transmission. That engine is newly created.

Hey, Malaysia's Ssangyong website *SUCKS*. Can you imagine - Ssangyong had just launched a brand new car like this, and yet there's *NOTHING* on it on the website.

Just a few pretty pictures on the pop-up... but that's all. No details, no price list, no equipment list, doesn't even tell you what colours are available.

The worst joke is the fact the website still display info for the old truck that the company doesn't even sell anymore.

The resale value of ssangyong is really bad. i live in KL and i dont see that many ssangyong on the road.
