F-150 Ecoboost Cold Start Noise. Timing Chain Rattle

This is what my truck sounds like on day 2 after Ford said not to fix this problem (timing chain) with my truck as according to them it's not going to cause any damage to the motor. Seriously... they said that!

They also said they know there is an issue but they don't have an appropriate fix at this time. If you are going to buy a used F-150 Ecoboost truck then you definitely to look into these issues on any truck you might be looking at buying.

If your F-150 Ecoboost is making this noise on cold starts then get it documented by your Ford dealer as fast as you can. It's a very expensive repair if you are outside the warranty period.

well my truck started doing this as well. 2021 F150 Powerboost. Smh. only had it for about 6 months

I see ... These newer trucks are so sensitive I miss the old days when you heard a noise it was easy to find.. Thought my problem was a cam phaser at first come to find out it was a sensor .. Truck runs great but still lacking in horse power

My truck just started doing this crap! Its a 2013 3.5L ecoboost and it has just exceeded the warranty window OF COURSE!

I just test drove a 2013 f150 with 30, 000 miles and it did this when I started it. The salesman said it was a truck driving by on the bypass... HAHAHA

Have you tried the vct solenoids those are notorious for going out

Ford should be responsible for all repairs and should have been a recall. Cam phasers and fords just dont mix. Ford cant make a decent truck unless you spend close to 100k
