In my film days of over 23 years ago I was a 100% Ilford shooter, FP4 and ID 11 a perfect combination! low light HP5 now grade glossy paper and 75 magenta filter went hand in hand. Pushing film to 1600 asa was no problem with HP5 development for about 10 minutes....Happy Days in the darkroom...

FP3, FP4, and now FP4+ have been my favourites for black and white since the 1960s! Mostly digital these days, as it's so much cheaper, but I've almost always got a DSLR with a roll of FP4+ close to hand...

Really enjoy your channel.

My favourite thing about your channel is that fact that you general do prints in the darkroom. Nothing quite compares to seeing a proper print. I wish I have the space to set up a darkroom for myself.

Overall favorite film has to be Fomapan 100 for me. Cheap and cheerful, but good personality without being too overbearing. Lots of rebrands too so you can just get whichever one is cheapest at any one time.

Back in the day, in the valley of my youth, it was Agfa APX 100 and APX 400 as long as it was available.
In between, Ilford FP4 and Kodak Tri-X
and now exclusively Ilford PAN 100 and Ilford PAN 400.

FP4 has been my go to film back in the day and it won my heart again when I started to use film again a while ago. I normally use it at iso 200 and this a perfect value for walking around, at least for me and my cameras.

I use FP4 daily. It has more contrast as HP5. I shoot it on 125 ISO even on a winters day. Shutterspeeds as 1/60 or 1/30 are no problem

I live in Moscow, and we don't have a lot of sunny days here. We usually see the sun 72 days a year. That's why my favorite film is HP5. I often expose it as ISO 3200. But this is for night walks around the city.

First roll I've shot again, after 30 years, was FP4+ and I was amazed. Almost finished roll of HP5 now, so will see the results soon. Very temped to get some film dev gear and have a go at pushing and dev myself. Many thanks

I used to shoot FP4, which I bought as 30m bulk, and developed in Promicrol but that was 35-40 years go. Got rid of all my darkroom stuff ages ago but nice to see it’s still around though ridiculously expensive.

I shoot FP4 at 1600 and 3200 in 120 a lot in HC-110 and love it. I am also a fan of ATM 400 I was excited when it became available again!

For most of my medium and large format (Toyo 45a, C220 twin lens and pinhole) I use Ilford Delta 100. Just a fine and beautiful film. On the odd times I need more speed and almost always in Holga I use Delta 400.

I myself am a fan of Ilford Hp5 Plus, and XP2 Super for my black and white street photography. My Canon L1 Rangefinder (Leica screw mount) with Canon 50mm/f2.8 lens goes with me in my TiLite AeroZ wheelchair and loves the light and nice scenery to shoot.

This video is such fun. I love the dog, Howlin' Wolf? And the perfectly posed pigeon too, sometimes you get lucky. I also love fp4+ and it is my regular slower film, especially for 35mm, usually developed in Rodinal. I also shoot it with medium format if I'm using a tripod. For medium format hand held I prefer Delta 400, the larger negative means the grain isn't a problem, and I usually develop that in Ilfotec DDX. If it's sunny I stick an orange filter on it to get back down to ISO 100. I'm afraid I've not had good results with HP5+, but I need to go back to it and try different developers because I know most people love it, so my poor results are down to me not the film.

Favorite BW film remains TMAX 100. However, because the cost of this film has gone up so much, I don't buy unless there is a deal somewhere. So, I use Ilford Delta 100. I also like that. Has a slightly different look but also the almost 0 grain. I use in both 35 and 120.

After I went through my archives, I found FP4 is my third most used film. Seems I'm a fan and didn't really even know it. I'm usually into Tmax 400, although the price is really nuts nowadays. More Ilford for me down the line!

Always enjoy seeing your shooting. The icing on the cake is seeing the process of the darkroom prints. Big fan of the channel here!
