Becky! I did it…… I made St. Pattys Day Jiggs dinner!!! At age 78 I made my first one. I was always afraid to make new things but I can hear you say “you can do it”. I did the slow cooker low and slow. It was amazingly delicious. My husband wonders what will that Becky having her do next…… hehe

Becky, professional florist here. Since I was 18 and I'm 70 now. So my recommendation for a quick tutorial....first after you grid your container, begin with your greenery. That will help you place your flowers and they won't "flop" around while you are placing the flowers.

HELLO FROM IRELAND, ☘☘ Happy St Paddy's Day [St Patrick's Day} to you all!!! here in Ireland we don't make corned beef as a dinner on this day, we might have cabbage and bacon with mash, or a stew, but the younger generation will look at the parade and head to the pub afterwards and have a take away on the way home.

FLOWER TRIMMING TIP - when you cut flower stems, cut them at an angle because it leaves more area of the stem to absorb water so they last longer. You can also trim the stems again a few days later to keep them alive a little longer. I’m very excited for the flowers in your garden to start growing!!

I have a bay laurel tree and oh my goodness let me tell you - the difference between a dried leaf vs one off the tree is night and day! I'll never go back to dried! You should definitely get one. Plus it would look amazing in your beautiful garden 🌳

I'm glad I'm not the only one who keeps bay leaves for a while!

Ok this is my first time commenting here. I found this channel a couple of months ago around November and I can officially say your videos are addicting and became a thing for me. Sometimes I watch to relax other times to learn and many times to enjoy seeing your doggies who are absolutely adorable Btw!!! I have absolutely no way of do what you do since we rent and we don't even have a balcony. But you inspire me for the future and also love watching your what we call gallinas in Spanish which are hens. We only call them chicken when they are babies and young. Then they become roosters and hens.

But anyways what I wanted to say is that I love your style and I do get pieces of ideas here and there from you. Mostly your videos make me feel better while going through some painful and traumatic experiences that we have lived over the last 5 years. I enjoy what you do and love your ideas too!!! Maybe one you'll be interested in cooking Puerto Rican food (that I can share with you or Guatemalan food and for that my husband (who is a chef) can share with you!!!

Saludos desde New Jersey, from this puertorrican born!!! 🇵🇷😍

I would love to show you the table my 6 year old set up for us for dinner after watching your St Pattys Day dinner party. She insisted on making the table special tonight and even went out and picked flowers and used tape on the vase to arrange them “because that’s how Becky does it”. Thank you for being a positive influence in my daughters life. I’d be thrilled if she turned out like you!

I think it is great that Josh no longer avoids the camera.

I love when Josh joins you! Even better that you got him to tend the stove! So cute and SWEET! 👏👏👏❤❤❤ I love pistachio cakes, so I am d finite my going to try this one. My birthday is in March (turned 60 on the 12th 😊) so traditionally we always, add a St. Patrick's day element to any celebration of it. Too late this year though.

As a florist a little tip is to green up with greenery first before flowers. Use a few types of greenery to add interest with colour shape etc. That's a pet hate of mine also not seeing over the table as arrangements to big . Xxx

Mustard is good with corned beef, but the best thing is horseradish not creamy horseradish sauce, just horseradish. Yummy

Love the themed dinners you bring us along for! And I love the table-scapes that you share! The flowers turned out nice and I can totally relate with arrangements being too tall! Going to take your idea of making them in lower profile containers so we can keep them on the table while we are all sitting there! 🫶🏼

It wasn't until I was married and buying our groceries I found out what corn beef was. I bought it in a package because it looked like a trimmed brisket. 😂 I got home cooked it like a brisket it wasn't bad just had a odd taste. I then read the package! See I grew up eating corn beef and cabbage at least once a month! But not like that! It was seasoned hamburger meat cooked and crumbled up add a can of corn and then boil with chopped cabbage. Season it all up and that was a cheap filling supper for a family of 6. We all enjoyed it. I still cook it. Your cabbage looked very good. Sometimes I'll make fried cabbage it's basically sauteed in butter with seasoning. I enjoy your videos. Oh and I heard the little one in the background. Lol enjoy it while he's little they really do grow up fast! Y'all stay blessed, well, and happy.

That's a really smart idea to keep your herbs in the pots off your patio so close to the kitchen. I'm growing a bunch of herbs from seed and I think I'm gonna do that. Thanks for sharing Becky. Looks like a lovely St. Patricks Day meal. I bet your family will appreciate it.

This is the video I’ve been waiting for! When you mentioned this in a previous video, I decided making my own corned beef was a challenge I would love to try. I could only find a whole brisket so I also learned how to cut it into a flat and point cut and ended up with three sections of meat. I used the pink salt method. I only had 7 days before St Patrick’s Day so I decided I would cook one for the holiday, and let the other two continue to brine and we could have Reuben’s later this week. When I made the holiday dinner, I could see there was a small section in the middle where the brine didn’t penetrate so 7 days was not long enough for my size of roast. Tomorrow will be the 10th day for the second roast and we will be having Reuben’s for dinner so I’m anxious to see how the brine penetrates after 10 days of marinating.
I’m also anxious to see how yours turns out with no pink salt! Thanks for always being such an inspiration, Becky! 😊😊😊

Becky dear when your baking & going through all the trouble to weigh out everything you should weigh out your batter into your pans so your cakes are perfectly even in each pan. Just a tip if your going through all the trouble & it will ultimately help you when you go on to more decorated cakes they'll be even layers.
I never catch you to early enough to comment for you to see this tip..lol.. As always Much
