A new survey shows China leading the U.S. in favorability among developing countries.
A poll by the Center for the Future of Democracy at the University of Cambridge shows that 62 percent of people in developing countries now have a favorable view of China. That's slightly more than those who view the U.S. positively.
The report points to the impact of the China-led Belt and Road Initiative. It notes that in countries engaged with BRI almost two-thirds of the people have a positive view of China.
