Topical Dutasteride IS THE NEW Gold Standard For Hair Loss

Most of you know that I have been unable to take anti-androgens because I suffered from terrible side effects in 2007 from finasteride. Up until now, there hasn't been anything on the market that made me want to try anti-androgens again. But now we have topical dutasteride, the most potent drug for hair loss on the market, and it doesn't go systemic as much as finasteride because of the molecular weight.

Xyonhealth released their topical dutasteride formula last month, and I've been taking it for the past three weeks. I will do monthly updates on the dutasteride and my serum DHT levels. Based on the studies published in @xyonhealth patent application, topical dutasteride reduces serum DHT by only 10-12%.

The reason I chose XYON is because of the liposomal silicone-based vehicle. This vehicle keeps the drug on the top layer of the scalp, where DHT attaches to the androgen receptor. Keeping this powerful DHT blocker local on the scalp gives you the best of both worlds. You could also try Farmacia Parati in Italy if you're not in the US. They also use a liposomal silicone-based vehicle, though it may differ from XYON's formula.

The reductions in th e Xyon study are all over the place it's insane to take -11% as the takeaway. It ranges from a 165 increase to a 48% reduction.

Great video Melvin and possibly the greatest news in a very long time in treating MPB in an effective way. Thanks for the heads up and for sharing!

A study with 10 patients means nothing. Will be cool to see what significant findings come of it down the line, though.

This is very promising, especially for someone like me who couldn’t handle oral fin because of the sides.
I’m trying Xyon’s product however it’s very expensive.

Incisive video Melvin!

I wonder, are you still using the Xyon dut gel? What's your overall verdict on sides/efficacy 1 year later?

Thanks :)

Hi, I ordered topical dutasteride from the Xyon page. but since I did not get any results I decided to cancel my subscription and it turned out that this company did not want to cancel my subscription and took my money 9 days before the 90 days of finishing the 3-month treatment. be careful with that company that you can't communicate with them by phone and by email they don't answer you so when you want to cancel your subscription they just tell you we are working on it and they don't cancel it.

Testing your serum DHT doesnt tell us if topical dutasteride is an effective treatment for DHT inhibition at the Scalp. Can you get a scalp biopsy and test your local scalp dht levels??

If the Dalton size of the skin is 500 and topical dut 528 would it not be too big to penetrate the scalp and work its magic ?

Hey Melvin, my understanding of Dutasteride is it will shut down all DHT in your body and this topical will go into the body up to 20% which is 5mg a day. The topical finasteride also does. Your thoughts?

What are your thoughts on combining topical dutasteride with oral finasteride 1mg daily? I'm losing ground on finasteride 1mg daily.

Hi Melvin. Thanks for this video.
It's reassuring people like yourself are helping to get the ball rolling on this.

It's a shame it's such a tiny study, and that follow up was only at 1 month. but better than nothing. Thanks for promising to share uour results and serum DHT levels. I've often wondered if the 10 to 20% reduction in serum DHT could relate more to the lack of DHT leaking from the scalp into systemic circulation. I need to research where the majority of serum DHT originates from.

I do really worry about the astronomically high dutasteride levels of xyon products. Given dutasteride mesotherapy uses only 0.1mg and sometimes only every 1 to 3 months!! I just can't see how this isn't going to go systemic and if it does, the half life dictates its gunna stick around a long time. Maybe lack of sides from non oral routes has more to do with lack of liver first pass and downstream metabolites.

I've heard mixed anecdotal feedback. So really looking forward to your experiment and feedback.

Cheers.

I tried topical finasteride for over a year and it didnt cause any regrowth. So would be interested to see how topical dutasteride works out.

Do you have a commercial relationship with Xyon?

I know Xyon was developed with Parati. Do you know how the standard Parati liposomal formulation compares to the Xyon one?

Has anybody tried meso/dutas therapy.. its a combination of vitamins, minerals and dutasteride mixture that gets injected into scalp similarly to a prp session. I heard that is really good and limits systemic absorption. The good thing with that is u only have to do a session every 3 months
