I bought the foundations starter collection as a 1 year in new player. It was perfect for someone like me to go in, see what I'd like to play and get a pile of super usable cards.

I have 1 deck and am working on a landfall deck now. I accidentally bought my commander in a showcase over a YEAR ago for it to save on shipping for my Astarion cards. (For those curious, it's Tatyova, Benthic Druid)

I highly recommend it for someone who has 1, maybe 2 decks. It's an excellent starting point.

As a very experienced player who have won some major tournaments back in Onslaught and Mirrodin, I will probably still buy all of the beginner products.
Not much card value, sure. But unlimited value for my casual tables where beginners of every skill level are playing - to somewhat level the playing field and for everyone to have fun :)

I recently got into paper Magic after playing via Tabletop Simulator for a while. Got the Beginner Box and Starter Collection even though i'm a bit outside of the target demographic of beginners. I'm having a really good time with these cards - sometimes I need a simpler format (like Jumpstart) or simpler cards (like those you get in those two collections), and definitely needed a proper introduction to Standard. Happy with my purchases!

The Foundations Beginner Box and Starter Collection are (Seemingly) designed to be bought together. They have very little card crossover, so if you get both you’ll have a more complete collection. (I did that, and as a collector I’m very pleased with the value)

Yeah, really important to know what (if anything) is worth buying. One reason to keep practicing shuffling skills is that with all the rapid releases, one needs to be good at finding their cards in a mountain of "I swear this was just released!" piles

I just tried Jumpstart today for the first time in large part due to the recommendation of this video. I played with a friend of mine who is also relatively new to magic and we both had a lot of fun! We both are looking forward to playing more 1v1 magic (commander was not for us). I am very happy for this product and for your recommendation!

I’m new to magic from the beginners box and loving it! We really like the jumpstart boosters format as it’s easy to wrap our heads around (being goblins and pirates is just easy to imagine when you’re new), it’s a shame we can’t keep opening more packs of jumpstart boosters and have them all be standard legal!
