for the big fans: elizabeth still makes music that sounds exactly like her work on the twins. she released in 2022 under the band name Suns Signature. She actually has lyrics and her voice is the same. I recommend listening

waaay back when i was still young enough to drop acid, Garlands was one of my go-to's on winter trips. literally a "cold" sounding record. and super weird drugs or no drugs. Deftones' cover of "Wax and Wane" is fucking dope, too. all deftones covers are, tho, it seems.

Awesome to see your take on Cocteau Twins! While I haven't listened to their music as much as the bands they ended up inspiring, I still respect the groundwork they laid and their unique style. You summed up Elizabeth Fraser's lyrics very well: "Equally unclear as they are beautiful to listen to". 😄

People make out like every song Elizabeth wrote was gibberish, and there are a lot of them, but there are several entire albums with written, and understandable lyrics. She explained that she uses words and parts of words from other languages “because they sound beautiful together”
