I used a Gamecom 780 for about a year. I loved it all except for the wire that was way too long and constantly getting knotted. Mine only lasted a year before the right ear literally snapped off, and that wasn't because I dropped it or anything. One I just picked it up and the next thing I knew it was in two pieces. I wish it lasted 3 years :(

1. ahem Sennheiser has open back lower impedance type too, The G4me ONE...

2. higher impedance doesnt mean headphones are unable to go "as loud", it only means that to get the loudness you need external amp or proper soundcard to drive them(as you mentioned in review), but on the other hand they achieve better sound spectrum and "should" achieve more accurate sound (G4ame ONE has 15 -26000 Hz spectrum, Zero goes up to 28000Hz)

PS: when you started video you mentioned portability as one of the rated categories. And for transportation G4me Zero with its foldability and inclusion of carry case should at least warrant a mention :)

If stereo is good enough, then I recommend the original HyperX Cloud. Extreme comfort, good mic, good cans, and surprisingly rugged design. Old school analog durability

I understand why Dolby Surround is implemented into headset/mixamps, the human brain can differentiate sound location in Stereo.
Not related to the video but.. would it be possible for yourself to do a video on covering lower end Laptop/Notebook around £400 ($600) options with good cpu's & memory, storage isn't a factor due to SSD prices being so low now. Thanks.

I'm confused between the corsair void wireless and the turtle beach 450, both are around the same price point and have the same battery life (almost) the difference is that the void is dolby and the 450 is DTS:X, which one should i go for? Is the DTS a huge improvement over dolby?

Does the Dolby surround sound feature reside in the headset or an accompanying mix amp? I want to buy that Plantronics GameCom 780 ($50) and plug it into my astro a40 wireless mix amp (rec/trans combo) because my astros are basically broken, this would be a cheap replacement if it is capable of multi directional with astro mix amp (or the ps4 controller).

what to do i had a pair of turtlbeach px51 2 years ago sold them but loved the fact that it has bluetooth for music and mobile use. but now there is no cheap way of buying another cause its all replaced with a usb stick or wifi.
any bluetooth headset out there or i have to exept it and buy a good one with a cord!
