The most underappreciated official book. I don't like the art or the jokes but if you don't like the flavor, don't use it. This is a combo of rule book for running a company/guild/faction and a surprisingly good 1-7 adventure.

Is it like some sociological phenomenon within the culture of the game that multiple groups of players often naturally organize into a player's consortium like that? Because, otherwise, saying the book about an organization of professional adventurers and contract takers is great for building a world where you yourself make such an organization is a major tautology.

There are better 5e books imo but I got it because of the possibility to go back to Phandalin. I don't recommend it unless you want to turn a company into a faction because I feel most players would not want to be in a niche campaign they may not know unless they are fans of them show it's based upon.
