U.S. Women's Soccer fans celebrate Olympic gold at Los Angeles bar

The United States took home the gold for women's soccer on Saturday and KTLA's Carlos Herrera was there for the final whistle. KTLA reports on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024.

What does Carlos mean that the US Women haven't been very successful? He needs to do some research....5 Olympic gold medals and 4 World Cup trophies? Maybe he meant that it had been 12 years since their last Olympic gold medal. The US Women are the GOLD STANDARD for Womens Football! I am so very proud of them all, and especially Emma for bringing the USWNT back to the top. Thanks Emma and GO USA!

Most Americans have not much idea about soccer, hopefully this will educate them. Its no comparison to Superbowl

They were the best team in the last world cup, but they didn't have a great coach.
You can clearly see with Emma Hayes (a Great Coach) the USWNT in fact are the greatest team on the Planet.

Even when you have the best players, you still need a Great Coach to make the managerial decisions for the players. Who should start, the individual duties, the strategy of the game as whole... If the coach is not at that level you will fail.

It's the same problem we're suffering from at the USMNT on the men's side.
You need a great coach because the opponents don't face you with below standard ideas.
Good coaches make good game plans.

Today's game plan against Brazil and Martha was good because Emma took into consideration the Fatigue Factor. The girls or young ladies were tired as they played a lot more soccer minutes than the opponent.
