The goosebumps this gave, literally have watched FT 1-12 almost everyday of my life since I was like 9. It's comfort food for me, appreciate you so much Mr John Cleese!

The genius of *Fawlty Towers* was, aside from the brilliant acting/staging/physical comedy, the density of jokes... each 30-some minute show was so stuffed with humor episodes like 'the germans' didn't see the arrival of the titular characters until the end !!!!

It'd be interesting to see how this show stacks up...

John Cleese is ace. Fawlty Towers was and still is comedy gold. I’ve got the whole season on DVD and there are dozens of amazing side-splitting gags and lines.

I don't know if this actually happened before this scene or not but I believe that after the impact he had made earlier with this project, that John Cleese should have gotten a hearty applause from the audience the moment he walked in...about 30 to 45 seconds.
