Resign? Lol.

That should be the least of his concerns.

They didn’t process or arrest more than a handful of the Seditionists.

That’s all he needs to look at beside his resignation.

Out of a force of over 2, 000 only 500 were tasked with securing the Capital in what is any other time a national security event that being joint assembly of Congress . 500 is staffing level for when the Congress is out of session . This is the first problem that needs to be addressed.

The party of "personal responsibility" goes above and beyond to blame everyone else for everything they do.

The important question is what is the exact timeline & chain of officials who did not respond or denied sending in reinforcements. Who & when? We need answers & an exact timeline, including White House calls in, out & refusals to take calls.

So he says he "regrets" stepping down after an attempted insurrection that he knew weeks in advance about and FAILED to prepare for because he views it as "misguided" !!?
Classic right wing projection; HE is the one who is misguided if he truly believes he shouldnt ne held accountable.
*Lock him up too*

No backsies. You failed Sund you weren't prepared clearly. Apologize you should be ashamed at your poor "preparation"

He should regret a lot of things but stepping down is not one of them.
HE is the misguided one.

The only thing one can think of is that he is a trump supporter. He "prepared" to look the other way and they did, to allow for mayhem on behalf of trump
He should be in jail and not just resigning

He thinks he should STAY IN CHARGE after that MASSIVE FAILURE where the Capitol Police BARELY protected the 2nd and 3rd in command?! REALLY?

I'm sorry, but am I missing something? Was the Capitol NOT raided, people not hurt, attacked and properly vandalized? The CAPITOL!! And these people want to overlook facts and lean on the hypothetical?

"I got fired just because I did a terrible job and five people died as a result of my incompetence? Cancel culture!"

He failed in his job and it resulted in the endangerment of the US government. He was allowed to resign and keep his pension. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED and held accountable for the catastrophic failure with prison time. His pension should go to the families of the of the people who died

They should ALL be fired on the spot. instead of pulled out as "heroes" They had ONE job to do, and they failed. Infact they opened the doors up and let people in. Instead of stand their ground and call for reinforcements.

Pelosi was right to demand his resignation. The response to the BLM March and the Capitol insurrection was vastly different. He didn't seem to care about optics when BLM marched to the Capitol and yet he was vastly concerned about optics during the insurrection even though he had already been made aware that there was a high risk of violence

The only reason he regrets resigning is because he now sees that everyone is going to get off. these Republicans are going to slide over this like it never happened and he in fact could have gotten away with it, kept his job. that's the only thing he regrets.

By the time we find out all the details of how and why this all happened, several decades will have passed.
