The fact that only the magi could interpret the star is proof that it was a astrological event.

If some bright orb was hovering over Christ's location, several people would have witnessed it.

It was planetary.

The greatest understatement of all time:

Genesis 1:16b
He made the stars also.

Do you know how many stars there are?

Greetings from Lancaster, Dr .Danny. Great video. SC is missing the village smart guy. Thank you Eric for bringing this program to us. I have been to the Creation Museum and The Ark Encounter. They were 2 of the most amazing places I have ever been in my life. Take your family and go, you will be awestruck and Blessed. I WANT THAT BOOK.

Thank you! Very much enjoyed the session. I believe the star that directed the magi was the Shekinah glory of God. The Lord used an angel to announce the birth of Christ, and he was joined by a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." This was an announcement that people could be saved through Christ and granted peace with God. So, God possibly used the Holy Spirit to lead the magi (who would have had the writings of the prophet Daniel - who was the head over the magi about 4 centuries earlier.) If not the Holy Spirit, then a pure light manifestation of God.

The best book by far that I have read on this topic is called "The Star that astonished the world" by Ernest Martin. The whole book is available as a file online for free. The work that has gone into producing this work is unmatched.

It definitely was NOT a special star. It would have been noticed by Herod's men.

The Bethlehem star is a angel. Rev 1:20 kjv identifies these seven stars as angels.
Rev 9:1 calls this star/angel a He and gives him the key to the bottomless pit.
Matt 2:9 kjv the star/angel which the wise men saw in the east went before them till it came and stood over baby Jesus. This is a angel. Look at a picture of a star and you’ll probably see its not standing.
Look up every instance of star/stars in the bible and and they don’t all mean the same thing.

The wise men came when Jesus was 15 months old. 15 + 9 months is how Herod decided on eliminating all male children under 2 years old.
