IDF 2012: Intel shows new Haswell chips

Intel showed demonstrations of systems running on its new Haswell processor, due in 2013, at the Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco on Sept. 11.

Yes comeon Microsoft. They should release the Surface pro with Haswell. That will give us significantly better gaming performance and battery life.

No matter how much money they throw at it, their iGPU will never replace a dedicated chip. Soon as Intel releases a better iGPU, AMD/Nvidia up the ante on their cards as well.

Honestly, WHO GIVES A DAMN ABOUT INTEGRATED GRAPHICS? I want to know how good and improved the actual CPU performance is, that's what counts and should matter most to Desktop PC users like me.

Drivers, Drivers, Drivers. None of it means anything unless Intel spends the cash for a dedicated team, they are a nightmare to deal with if you have bugs in your games.

The Utah-bok is getting lower framrate. They some how managed t make it draw scenes faster but lagging like won't like playing my games like that.

I'd rather they focus on cpu performance than useless iGPU performance. HD4000 is more than enough for casual browsing etc.. And when I game I will buy a dGPU anyway.
