A year with the Fujifilm X-H2S

Thought I'd stop being lazy for a minute and chuck together a little overview of my experience with the XH2S after a year of shooting.

I've shot absolutely loads, a lot of which I can't share on YouTube as it's stuff I've shot with the guys at work, but hopefully you get some impression of what the camera is capable of.

As always, shout if you have any questions about the camera, lenses, cards, settings, or whatever. Peace!

I'm literally just binge watching your videos today lol. Amazing work man! I recently upgraded from X-T3 to an X-H2s and I'm so excited to create some beautiful work with it!

Looking forward to future videos to come!

The effort you’ve put in really comes through with the visuals and commentary. Great video and really engaging, as a non camera person I still remained hooked and intrigued. A camera video that speaks to non camera people as well as people familiar with the subject. Great video and makes me want to buy a fuji camera haha

Your works are amazing. Just soothing to watch and listen to you at the same time. Just as the chemistry that exist between Fuji camera and Fuji lenses.

Great video! I also love my X-H2S. Especially the colors and dynamic range in F-LOG2 is what intrigues me. Also, I really LOVE the quiet shutter sound and feel when taking pictures. It makes the camera feel so professional, responsive and sleek.

New owner here upgraded from my first, an M50 II, and simply loving this bad boy, what a weapon! Fuji really is in the game. Using it with canon glass and the Fringer adapter is so awesome with all its features and horsepower.

I must say though, this may be the most beautiful review video I have ever seen. The shots, the editing, the colour work, the delivery, the soothing, calm yet majestic and poetic feel, the details, the perspective, the knowledge and teaching.... it captures the power of this camera in a way that inspires me and excites me to go out there and make amazing things. Well done man!

Also, what the hell, today I learned YOU CAN CUSTOMISE THE TOP SCREEN🤣🤣 Thank you! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🔥🔥

Bro. We should admit that Fuji X-H2s is something else..🥺 it’s just another level video focused hybrid camera which can compete with whole lot expensive cinema cameras

Astonishing shots and footage. Love this long term retrospective. It's so far from the "Day 1 Gear Review" stuff out there, and it's so much more honest for it. Might be worth renting one for a while to see what the fuss is about!

Awe beautiful video man. You have a really lovely presentation style.. And ha! by no means lazy I would say - what heap of amazing shots.. It's been a real treat to see yours and Serr's Fuji videos.

Brilliant work! I have to say that I'm really loving your compositions. It's nice to see someone that actually takes his gear out and shows proper examples instead of just taking pictures of brick walls to show centre-to-edge sharpness tests.

I have to say that I really love the colours and even the more organic-looking grain that Fujis produce. I've sold off all of my Sony full-frame gear and made the jump to Fuji... I'm falling in love with the process itself of just shooting. I realized that I didn't need heavy, super-fast lenses to get the shots that I wanted. I've simplified my gear and it's the best thing I have done.

I plan on putting this camera through the ringer, which will be -30c Canadian winters, so I'm hoping it'll fare well.

Also, your beautiful images are making me really miss Europe even more!

I own a XT-5 and I've been considering upgrading to the X-H2S for better video. The one thing I wish Fuji had was the touch tracking and I'm glad you brought that up. I use a SONY FX-3 and FX-6 at my video production job and the touch tracking is a HUGE bonus. Also Fujifilms focus peaking is HORRID.. basically unusable.

Hey man thanks for this video - I’ve read and watched a ton of reviews on this camera and yours is quite unique and very visually appealing. I own an XT-4 and shoot mainly boxing photography with it. For video i use a GH6 which seems very comparable minus the AF and haven’t pulled the trigger yet as i’m not convinced how improved the AF is for for stills compared to XT4 and don’t really need the video capability considering my Gh6.

PS the grading was nice and i like the lifted blacks and Have subbed to your channel 👍🏾

Excellent review of this little (relatively speaking) powerhouse of a camera. Love your unpretentious and no-frills style and presentation. Very informative and to-the-point.

I've been searching for an image comparable to and with the cinematic flairs of the Blackmagic 6K Pro, and I may have found it in your review!

Just one question--where did you score that 512gb CF Express Anglebird card at a decent price point?

Keep up the great work and THANK YOU kindly, brother!

Wow! Epic visuals and B-Roll… very stylized and dreamy. I had to double take that you didn’t have 20x the subscribers that you do, or more! I feel like when I did after stumbling upon Patrick Tomasso for the first time🎯

great video ! thankyou, I would like to ask you if its possible to record in 4:3 aspect ratio with that camera ? I have seen that you applied it to the video but maybe you did it in post production. Thanks!

Great Video with loads of details. I think you should definitely try the 16-55 for video. Though it does not have character like 35mm / 56mm, the autofocus and image out of it is amazing. You will not touch the 18-55 once you try the 16-55. The weight is worth it.
