I would listen to friends for hours that would complain about their husbands and children. Then they would ask me why aren't you married or have kids...lol

I had a coworker tell me she envied my life because I chose not to have children, while she just went along with the things she was supposed to do, and now feels crushed.

My mother did not want children and claimed my father made her do it or he would not marry her and she would never leave her mother's house. She hated us. We had a rough childhood. I had a child and stepkids and was thrilled to be a mom. Don't have kids if you don't want them. And people please respect choices.

Thank you Chelsea, I struggled to have kids and for years I was told “But you’d be such a great mom!” As if my only value was my ability to have and raise children and I somehow owed it to myself and society. It’s nonsense.

why do people ask this? why is it so weird to not want kids?? especially when a woman has kids she constantly gets asked about having kids, will you ever have kids, will you ever adopt or foster, can you physically not have kids?? like chill she doesn’t want kids and I’m happy she’s direct abt it
