The Australian Institute for Musculoskeletal Science (AIMSS) is a collaborative institute for research into disorders of bone, muscle and joint and the promotion of disease prevention and evidence-based interventions including exercise and nutrition.

AIMSS brings clinicians and researchers together from Western Health, Victoria University and The University of Melbourne to bring researchers closer to the health system and to better influence healthcare delivery based on research. The vision of AIMSS is to improve the health and wellbeing of the communities in which we live and work through innovative and integrative musculoskeletal research and advocacy. The mission is to undertake focused, high quality innovative research and to foster collaborations with the research and general community.
