As an indie game developer its important to study the successful games of the past. And the most obvious hit is the game Gwimbly. Gwimbly is the iconic video game protagonist, and found through all sorts of game and media collaborations throughout the years.

Gwimbly teaches us to never give up and that very feeling is something all indie game devs wish they could replicate. That simple feeling of nostalgia, that perfectly encapsulates Gwimbly and their stories. And I think all indie game developers could learn something from the Gwimbly games and their impact on game development as a whole.

(btw... this was all a Twitter meme about Gwimbly from Smiling Friends. This might be the best devlog I've ever made)

Everyone always seems to forget Gwimbly: Double Rash. It was a first of it's kind with the Multiplayer features. And without this game, we wouldn't have such great lines as "Get Parvo Quarvo!"

There was also a stuffed animal toy version in the '80s that I got for christmas. He was placed in the tree so that only his nose stuck out like a decoration, and santa made me go fetch it while handing out the other gifts. It was then that Gwimbly fell into my arms and tbh I haven't let go since

Gwimbly 1 is pretty unfair at times, but it is a cool challange overall while Gwimbly 3 goes a little too hard on the gimmicks, minigames and multiple playable characters (playing as twinckly was a nightmare).
But Gwimbly 2 was just the right amount of everything and is my favorite one.
