Jeff Hammond says he got into the Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (DOE CSGF) because he wanted to work with high-performance computers. During his practicum at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, he became fascinated with the NWChem computational chemistry package and consequently devoted his doctoral research to it. He’s now in the parallel computing laboratory at Intel Corp.
