From those of us who call the Black Hills home like my family, there is so much more to it than you can even dream of. The healing place is what it is in all truth, no matter what problems you may have in your life they will melt away day by day if your open to it and let the magic of this special place help you.
We who live here and make our living in the Hills welcome visitors every year, some don't understand what is here and breeze through while so engulfed by their cell phones or laptop world they never let the Hills in to do what it does,
I'm a logger who grew up here and now has raised my family here and no matter where we have been there is no place on earth that has the effect on people like here.
Glad you enjoyed your visit. We live in the National Forest about half way between Custer and Hill City on our own piece of heaven on earth, my wife Works in the Park, our Kids are grown now, one works for US Fish and Wildlife and the other for the US Forest Service but both within a few minutes drive of is the effect it's had on their lives also.
When Visiting the Black Hills all we ask is to remember this is our home and we protect it jealously, all we ask of visitors is to respect what is here and to remember....while it's here for all to enjoy....good people do live here and call this special place home.

Excellent video!!! F.Y.I. Sylvan Lake on the Needles Highway is where they filmed National Treasures "Book of Secrets ". That road is very Sacred and special. Beautiful. Hope you can take Flyboy next time. NFTB.

Needles Highway was the absolute high-light of our M/C trip to the Black Hills last year. Great video! I am so happy that you enjoyed the scenery!
