Me and my best friend used to sing along to this when it came on the radio, as we sat in her kitchen drinking coffee. She died of cancer aged 57, Miss you Nese. 💔💔

I can not understand how Roddy and Aztec Camera weren't huge. Great musicians, songwriters, singers, not to mention that gorgeous Scottish twinkle in the eyes.

I’m 33 and I love listening to this song as I bike to my shitty retail job. It makes me feel hopeful and happy, like I still have a chance in this world.

Just heard that Steve Wright has died. His radio 1 show was the 80’s and for me this song will always be associated with a long hot summer I spent working in a garden centre listening to this song on Steve Wright in the afternoon. RIP Steve. Thanks for the memories 😢

Roddy Frame is such an enigma to me. And so underappreciated, particularly on this side of the ocean.
